TWO DAYS - ONE NIGHT

El Guajira is an exotic, sunny and multifaceted Caribbean territory rich in folkloric traditions. Land of the sun, coal, gas, and the cradle of wayúu, son of the earth and the rain. In the upper and central regions of Guajira you will find: LAS SALINAS DE MANAURE,, EL CABO DE LA VELA, EL CERRO DE LAS TETAS, EL PILON DE AZUCAR Y EL FARO.

The program that we offer will introduce you to the territory and form of life of the Wayúu, the contrast of the landscapes and the beauty of the Guajira sunsets.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: THE SALT MINES

We leave Santa Marta at 4:30 am by jeep and travel to Manaure's Salinas –Cabo de la vela, after a tour through Manaure's salt mines, we depart for the Cabo de la vela, in a journey of 4 hours. After arriving at the Cabo we depart for the lighthouse to observe the sunset, afterwards it´s dinner and then off to the hotel, and hammocks on the beachfront, where you can refresh yourself and get a good nights rest.

DAY 2: CABO DE LA VELA

At 7:00 a.m we eat breakfast in time for a 8:00a.m departure. On this day we will visit the beach El Pilon de Azucar (Basin of sugar) and El Cerro de las Tetas (the hill of the teats), The first part of the tour will be by car but we will go on foot as we approach the Virgin. At 2:00 p.m we will have lunch and at 3:00 p.m return for Santa Marta, arriving at approximately 8 p.m
