Quebrada Valencia 1 day:
Quebrada Valencia is a river basin on the north slope
of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta with a net flow of 10,25 km
in an area of 11.25 Km. Due to the natural regeneration of the rainforest
there exists an increased density of many different species of trees,
and the recovery of various species of mammals and birds which has
created an opportunity for scientific research and educational ecotourism.
ITINERARY:
SANTA MARTA – QUEBRADA VALENCIA
We leave Santa Marta at 8.30am in a jeep and travel
down la troncal del Caribe (main Caribbean Highway) to Quebrada
Valencia. We then begin a 25 minutes forest trek to arrive at the
waterfall zone.
