Plueblito/ Chayrama is a living piece of the history of the pre-Hispanic culture of the Tayronas. It is like taking a trip through time and discovering how the indigenous people lived centuries ago, how they built their towns in such a difficult terrain, with architectural characteristics very similar to those of the mythic Cuidad Perdida (the “Lost City”).
You will discover, in the middle of the dense forest, paved roads, canals that line the old system of aqueducts, bridges, and terraces where, in the past, they erected homes where people lived before the arrival of the Spanish.
The singing of the birds and the frogs will accompany you while, after a few hours of walking the paved paths, you ascend and walk though this pre-Columbian town. |
